.....ode to Lombago (eddobloggo)
I read his ever present blogs - knowing he is always right
Sometimes a one-trick pony - he fights the relentless fight
To expose the lies and falsehoods - from other political blogs
Lombago keeps on posting - to expose the leftist fraud
He often echoes others - his comments have quite a bite
I sometimes disagree with him - but, I know he is always right
No back-tracking from Lombago - he speaks with no regrets
He inks words on Obama - and other leftist threats
Knowing he is "on the watch"- it helps me sleep at night
For Lombago's in the guard tower - and I know he's always right

A little boy causing a media ruckus has nothing at all to do with reforming our broken health care system. That might be the worst example of political framing I've ever seen.

You got that right, eddo. Common sense. Don't leave home without it. They're still talking about it on the cable news shows. Give me a break!

The Heenes don't have anything to do with the healthcare debate and your attempt to connect the two shows your desperation. It also illustrates what happens when a man searches for an opportunity, ANY OPPORTUNITY, to illustrate his partisanship. I hope that it was entertaining to write because I can't say the same about reading it.

[I can understand how someone with more liberal views than my own could fail to see the parallels and/or the humor. Admittedly, tying the two current events together was a bit of creative commentary that I found entertaining to write. So thanks for reading. That said, you certainly don't have to go out of your way to find opportunities for criticism of this administration. Furthermore, I do not have allegiance to either major party. Can you say the same thing? -ED]
Well, at least balloon-boy's family didn't start a war with Iraq.

So, so we have a (possible) hoax based on a lie designed to tap into people's emotions that ultimately causes a massive expense to the taxpayer, because authorities made the problem bigger than it needed to be. And they actually found the little boy when they looked in the right place.
Sure sounds like the war in Iraq, except Richard Heene doesn't have the same sneer as Dick Cheney. Maybe when we look in the right place, we'll actually find Bin Laden...

[Excellent envelope pusher, KR. Aren't you glad I started this trend? Wasn't it getting terribly tiresome merely saying "It was all Bush/Cheney's fault" without having any creativity or personal thought behind it? -ED]
Sadly, some of that wasted money could actually have been saved if the moron family had a brain-cell between them. Perhaps charging the folks for the manpower expended would be a worthy cause.

When I first glanced and saw this on TV I was, for a second, excited that for once we had solid video evidence of UFOs.

People have gotten really
stupid ,prosecuting ,bet that will cost a lot.
Poor family ,I am sure no one would want that
kind of reality show ,etc, guess everyone is
trying to cover stupidity with more stupidity.

[I gar-on-tee there ain't no
shortage of stupidity, Judy. I do disagree that
"no one would want that kind of reality show".
IMO, had the Heenes not been caught out, this
episode would have made it to the air and would
have garnered a lot of eyeballs. Look how
much airplay this fiasco has gotten thus far!
