Straight from
theYou Can't Make This Stuff Up page of
Wikipedia comes the Elder Statesman of
Obfuscation -- the originator of the phrases "it
depends on what your definition of
IS...is"
and
"...but I
never inhaled."
Remember
Rhodes Scholar William J. Clinton a/k/a Slick Willy, who
deluded himself into believing that he had perfected the
parsing of the English language, enabling him to merely
point his finger at his accusers and bully his way out of
any jam? The Great Stainmaker was impeached,
nonetheless, essentially for his inability to convince
anyone that he
"never had sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky"
...so why would he ever have had to ask anyone to
perjure themselves?
That same
scion of credibility
(who, with an
occasional assist from a doting wife who, herself, had nothing to hide
but her legs)
blamed
"a vast right-wing conspiracy" for every
accusation of impropriety and corruption that had haunted
the couple throughout their questionable political
lives but who meanwhile took full credit for the
accomplishments that were supposed to have been his
legacy -- accomplishments handed to him on a silver
platter by the very same right-wingers the loving couple lived
to vilify.
Well, he's
ba-aaaack. Now he's saying things like
"the words we use really do matter, because
there's this vast echo chamber, and they go across space
and they fall on the serious and the delirious alike.
They fall on the connected and the unhinged alike,"
offering
lefties the example of
an earlier anti-government
conspiracy led by
Timothy
McVeigh who exploded a truck bomb
outside the
Alfred P.
Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people.
What a stretch! Only one of the most-practiced
prevaricators of the 20th Century could ask you with a
straight face -- a dour, pained, lip-biting
faux-countenance at that -- to believe his
attempt to characterize
and demonize the thousands of peaceful tea party
protesters who relish being right out in the open where
they hope and pray that the left-wing media's cameras
will be forced to capture their images and their
placards.
The
administration and the Democrat Party have created a big problem
with their tactic of fighting what they portray as
hateful rhetoric with hateful rhetoric of their own.
While lefties
may believe in
their heart of hearts that shills like Bill Clinton are
talking directly to the protesters -- lecturing us
with tough love about our propensity to say "incendiary"
(read: racist) things about the current obfuscator in
the White House -- we lecturees are merely laughing at
all of the fear-born attention
we're getting and about the expansion of our ranks
that this attention has spawned.
Too bad the
First Lady of Pants Suits is in no position to jump on
the Oklahoma City tie-in bandwagon. Had Obama made
her VP instead of the nation's chief
diplomat
she could be as shrill and accusatory as she had been during her
co-presidency. What a double-waste it was for the
Dear Leader to tap that dimwit loose cannon for
the #2 spot!
Hillary was
so good, back then, at blaming everything on Rush
Limbaugh. Just think of how much more credibility
and righteous indignation she could present now that Hannity,
Savage, Levin, Ingraham, Gibson, Sliwa, Beck and the rest --
plus the FOX News TV Network -- have ramped-up the call for
skinheads and McVeigh wannabe's to wreak vigilante havoc
on the poor, sweet, quiet, non-incendiary troika
government and its unassuming, soft-spoken progressive supporters.
How
Nostradamus-like do you have to be to predict that the
kind, gentle, PC unifier
will swear, the moment that all of this spinning
backfires on him, that he
was just lightening up the discussion when he said those
mock-confrontational things about tea partiers, Republicans and
conservatives? -- things like
"go for it!" vis-a-vis the
repeal of Obamacare and that smug joke about how we should be saying
"thank
you"
instead of
screw you!
for waiting until after
the forthcoming campaign season to try and push the rest of his
hyper-taxing socialist agenda.
Once the
Alinsky spin
doctors digest the latest stats about the protestors
being somewhat more educated, informed and affluent than
lefties, they will dispatch Bill Clinton and the rest of
their shills to
portray tea partiers, radio talkers, FOX and
conservative bloggers as selfish elitists who just want to
change everything because they can.
