e-mail to the Fishy Czar...                                                 click here to subscribe to the eddobloggo RSS feedsubscribe via RSS

Dear Fishy Czar-

I know how busy you must be since being appointed to gather information about the organized subversives who would sabotage the idealistic plans of the administration.  There are so many of them and time is so short.

But take heart in what the Dear Leader has always said..."We must act immediately to avoid a catastrophe!"  Hopefully, you will find a moment to actually read my message and consider this example of fishy behavior.

There's this union -- it's called SE-IOU or something like that -- that makes a mockery of the Dear Leader's call for "change we can believe in" by showing up in menacing-looking groups at public gatherings wearing t-shirts that bear their union logo and a slogan: "Change that works!"

They confront citizens whose philosophies appear to oppose their own and there is at least one allegation of goon-like tactics in the form of a verbal and physical assault on an African-American gentleman who was giving away patriotic souvenirs at a town hall meeting in St. Louis.

A major TV media outlet has video of this beatdown, to which I would be happy to direct you.  You may want to consult with the Civil Rights Czar or perhaps with Justice Sotomayor on this one because use of the N-word during the commission of an assault and battery was, at one time, considered a hate crime -- if memory serves me.

In closing, please indulge just one minor question that needs clarification:

Is it fishy behavior when someone refuses to provide certification of his/her birth to his/her boss to document his/her citizenship?

Thanks for taking the time to read my e-mail.  Keep up the good work!

Reader Comments...

Since time is so short and there are so many as you said, please limit your complaints to ONLY the right wing, (you know Republicans) and you can throw in any independents that seem to side with them as well. Since we won and they lost it is not necessary to include democrats of any kind in your snitching. Nothing a democrat says can be construed as fishy. On the other hand, EVERYTHING a Republican and independent says is fishy. Please report them immediately. The SEIU only roughed up a right-winger and an anti-Obama alarmist, that was NO BIG DEAL they had it coming.  Now if you hear of a Republican or independent roughing up anyone let us know immediately so we can take action. Remember, Obamanation is all about change, or is it chains? I don't remember but have a nice Obama type day...

Mein Fuhrer is going to be quite busy indeed. I wonder when the forced disappearances and gulags for all the dissenters, I mean "rabid right-wing mobsters", will begin.

Funny when the libs protest they are exercising their right to free speech, but when hard-working taxpayers get together to speak out against government taking their healthcare away, over-taxing them, and taking away their liberties, they are called mobsters, smeared, ridiculed, and will probably be audited and otherwise harassed by the IRS.

These state-ist creeps have absolutely no shame, nor do they care about people or our Constitution. All they want is control over our lives so they can forge our country into the government-run Utopia they think it should be. Healthcare is just the start.

Please forward this message this to our Fuhrer at flag@whitehouse.gov

You just need to learn to think like a politician to avoid the "fishy" title. If you like your doctor you can still keep him or her as long as you pay a big "fine" for not jumping in the pool like everyone else. If pop or grandma is having a bad day just arrange for them to be counseled by a doctor about "end of life options". There will be a lot of doctors converted to putting old people on small ice bergs and shoving them out to sea when they see how little they will be making compared to the good old days of private health insurance. When you have to wait in a long line or wait weeks to see a doctor who is busy with illegal aliens or the dead beats of society who refuse to work you are "celebrating inclusiveness". If you die waiting for treatment you probably only worked your whole long life for some government benefits it was probably because some punks were ahead of you who had a shoot out during a turf battle over who was going to control the pharmacy rights. If you raise your voice about any of the above you are acting "stupidly" and "fishily" and you are subject to being investigated unless you suspect it has to do with racial profiling. Then my dear fish you are off the hook; Yell all you want.

If they wanted to voice their frustrations, then they need to organize their own forums to discuss their opinions, and not by denying others their right to discuss these matters. They whine about their freedoms being violated when they are the ones doing that.

Nobody wants to shut-out these opposing views, but they use radical tactics which end up making them look foolish instead of creating a environment for the constructive debate they need if they want their concerns taken seriously.

The are some problems with the impending health care legislation, but screaming, shouting, and temper tantrums, and the use of propaganda style smear campaigns, are not going solve the problems. Use the system to your advantage and start a letter writing campaign to your representatives to let them know your position. It will be far more effective than the bratty little kid approach which is backfiring on it's organizers.

[The beauty of this is that there are no organizers and the spontaneity of it all makes it that much more compelling and effective.  They think there are no leaders -- and they may be right at this juncture -- but it makes them crazy wondering how we'll vote in the next election and who they need to woo and who they need to demonize.  Once they demonize almost everyone they will have almost no one left to vote for them. -ED]

Regarding the comment from Coldmockingbird and your reply...I'm sure glad I had the patience to keep reading until the last sentence. For a minute I wasn't sure what the heck we were talking about.   LOL

Lombago....fish stinks after a couple of days but your post does not. It stinks immediately - no actually it is a good - interesting - post. A good point is made as I see it (maybe only I as in Malarkey). Anyone is a(loud) to get up on the soap box and say what they want. Ganging up on a speaker is nothing new. If you don't want to hear this opposing view, hold a closed meeting or shut the he_l up. Now, Lombago, keep this post in mind when the coin is tossed and the blasting is done to the other parties point of view. Fair is fair - unless it's not. Remember when Mr. Bush came to town and Mr. Hermening (I think he was the head of this posse) had a prof arrested and those arriving to get tickets had their cars checked to look for the "wrong" bumper stickers, to make sure that here was no opposition at the rally. Member that? Arresting a prof, because he was a threat - how about that. Perhaps it was considered a "closed meeting"? You been sick - or has your brain turned to silly putty? - you have not had much to say lately.

[In the absence of a malarkey translator (my guy's on vacation with the rest of Congress) suffice it to say that I've been forced to listen to the other guy's shouts since the 60's -- and that's a VERY long time.  Now it's the other side's turn to rant and Thank GOD they finally decided to exercise that option, albeit at the point in time where it might actually be too late to save the USA from the enemy within. -ED]

Talk about overwhelming the national archives...They must have let out a large groan when the white house did this....We have to archive WHAT?

What is the opposition's plan for this perennial social problem? Certainly sitting on the sidelines shouting and failing to present a plan that will answer the challenges of a possible pandemic, pain, and uncertainties along with the constant health related bankruptcies that we are seeing in the newspapers everyday is not satisfactory. Don't like the proposed plan? What should be done? Doing nothing other than criticizing well meaning proposals is not a plan that will work in this case.

DT

Des Moines, IA Register

[There may be a thousand plans that would work as well or better than Obamafied European socialized medicine -- not the least of which is doing nothing that requires the expenditure of unprecedented $$$$ at a time when cutting spending would make more sense. The "opposition's plan" is, first and foremost, to make our legislators think through that point and to slow the jam-it-down-our-throats-ASAP process down before they bankrupt the country and no one has health care. -ED]

...Your tunnel vision and hypocrisy are amazing. What did you expect organizations like the Service Employees International Union would do in this situation. They are an organization that actually defends the rights and interests of ordinary working folks. They are not going to sit idly by while mercenary thuggish flying mobs are bussed around the country by the insurance industry to shut down the debate on health care. When faced by violent attack they are going to defend themselves. Beware these people are serious folks. They will not let every speaker be shouted down at these meetings. They will respect the rights of anyone who participates in a civil manner.

a) It's not ANY union's job to police ANY public gathering.
b) Were the SEIOU faced with a violent attack by the guy they roughed-up?
c) The community organizer for whom these thugs shill and the rest of the legislators being challenged at these meetings work for US and they need to be reminded of that as often as possible.
d) The only mercenaries at any gatherings anywhere are lefties like ACORN "volunteers", union members and legislators themselves. It COSTS the rest of us to drop what we're doing to attend a town hall meeting. -ED

I have to laugh at the Democrat sock puppets trying to deny the truth about their astroturf support for this turd of a bill. Democrats are not honest, and after reading some of the liberal death threats routinely published on the web, I have to concur that Liberalism is a mental disease.

It would be interesting to see what civil rights organizations or the ACLU would say about this activity if it were a Republican or a Conservative President creating this lists.  Strange they have been uncharacteristically silent since it is their choice sitting
in the White House.  These tactics are out of Nazi Germany where neighbors turned their neighbors in and children reported on their parents.

If having the government run healthcare was such a good idea then Medicare & Medicaid wouldn't be in such dire straits not to mention  Social Security.  67 million useful idiots may have put the Democrats in power but don't expect the rest of us to meekly submit to the insanity and I reject the implied assertion that because these lemmings voted to enslave themselves that any who opposed them must give up their inalienable right to liberty as put forth in the Constitution.

I was able to watch an interview with some lady at the Whitehouse that assured us all that no names were being added to any list that came in by e-mail or regular mail - guilty by association works for me. The Whitehouse cannot destroy e-mails or letters received by some law that was so poignantly pointed out by a senator from Texas.
