Lombago.....hate to bust your bubble, but me and Mrs. Malarkey all ready have this coverage. It is called Medicare with a $20 a month supplement. Call it socialized medicine if you like. It is excellent coverage. Ya just have to live to the grand old age of 65. You should not have long to wait? Perhaps you will take a pass on Medicare and try at 65 to get some private coverage.
Or be 30 and have some pre-existing condition). And a fine evening to you Lombago.

No sense in letting a good crisis (or death) go to waste.

[Do you really think that's what "Do it for Teddy" is about? The Obamas taking a vacation near the Kennedy compound while Teddy lay on his deathbed was just a coincidence, right. I don't think his daughters were begging to go to the Cape instead of Disney or Six Flags, do you? -ED]

Funny stuff Ed. Senator Kennedy surely knew how to take care of his health. His health conscious lifestyle allowed him to live to a good ripe age. We should all learn from his example.

Eddo, I think that is change we can believe in. It's simple to understand and it's the same package that the President, the House and the Senate get. The pricing has already been negotiated and it could be offered as a "government option" that could be made available to all citizens of this country. I think it's an excellent idea.

lots of "live" politicians to pick on, they all have kennedy care.

You know - that's not a bad idea you have. When the dems come up with alternate legislation for health care reform, perhaps they will call it "Kennedy care." It should fly right through the house and senate. We'll make sure it doesn't have any death panels -- and that it requires the medical profession to keep you alive at all costs if you are unable to make your own medical decisions because of irreversible brain damage, coma, etc. and have failed to leave any advance directives. That should provide maximum suffering for you and yours. As a cousin of mine once said: "There are worse things than being dead."

I KNOW YOU LOVE AMERICA. HAVING CHOICES IS WHAT MAKES THIS COUNTRY GREAT. IMAGINE IF WE WERE ALL CONSERVATIVES, THEN THERE WOULD BE NO CHOICE. WE WOULD BE NO DIFFERENT THAN A COMMUNIST STATE WITH NO CHOICE. YOU SHOULD THANK ALL THE LIBERALS. PEACE BE WITH YOU.

[While I don't thank liberals just for being liberals, I do take defending their right to rant very seriously. What makes this country great is the freedom to differ with prevailing opinions. I choose to focus on the hypocrisy of the left, for which there is no shortage of examples. Feel free to challenge if you can. -ED]

Ater all American's are
provided the same health care that is afforded
to Congress, the next step must become on
providing all Americans with the similar homes
and cars as those enjoyed by our beloved members
of Congress. We are Americans after all, we are
entitled to no less. Free cars, free homes, free
health care, free wardrobes, free green cars.
FREE! FREE! FREE! This may actually become the

How about a "preventative

maintenance and preventative techniques of Jack
Lalane? He actually set an example that can be
profited from.

Same for financial
regulations. Full of loopholes. Just read a
piece in Rolling Stone by Matt Taibbi. Halfway
thru the article…..”an economic team made up
exclusively of callous millionaire-azzholes has
absolutely zero interest in reforming the gamed
system that made them rich in the first place.
“You can’t expect these people to do anything
other than protect Wall Street.”
He was referring to Democrats. Just like
republicans now except they toss a few bones to
poor people. So yes, chuck the health care bill.
It's useless. All that matters to both sides now
is that the status quo be maintained. All the
republicans...should be thrilled with the new
administration, yet they keep complaining. Go
figure.

[It is time for the status

unhappy with both party's politics-as-usual and

For the people who pay
