You should be a speech writer, Eddo.
Obama and the Dem leadership still sound like they don't "get it." Going into this election, Obama was at the plate with two strikes and a ball. Massachusetts was his third strike.
One nice idea I read on a conservative forum is this: there's 18 senators NOT up for re-election this fall who purportedly "represent" their angry constituents in states that allow for senatorial recall. Two of those senators are Baucus and Tester. Perhaps recalls are in order here. I know I'd sign the petition on both.

Scott Brown did not defeat Senator Kennedy he defeated Martha Coakley. And before we give this new senator any kudos let's see what he does. He has to run for re-election in 34 months. That will be the real test. I might add if Scott Brown was so passionate about being a senator from Mass. why not run against Senator Kennedy why he was alive? But as I said let's give him time to do something other than claim victory.

[Spin it any way you like, but if Brown does nothing else for the next 34 months he will be occupying a seat in the Senate that used to symbolize liberalism and the Democrat party...just as your Dear Leader used to symbolize hope and change. More importantly, if the Democrat majority actually passes any of its agenda once Brown is seated, it will be a bi-partisan agreement not the rubber-stamp dictatorship we have now. BTW, you're a sore loser. -ED]
It wasn't a victory for Republicans, it was a victory for Independents. This was a real bell ringer and clearly demonstrated that Independents are a force to be reckoned with.
There has been much media "analysis" of the causes. No one cause can be identified. America is just fed up with politicians in general, Obama in particular. Obama has put his political capital on the line 4 times, and lost 4 in a row. His magical influence is about run out.
I particularly enjoyed Ed Schultz whining and complaining last night. He qualified to be spot lighted on his own Psycho talk. The poor progressive was in a rage and I enjoyed every minute of it.
This was the first significant sign that the Obama backlash is occurring. I'm hoping the pendulum stops at mid point and the momentum doesn't carry over to the extreme right.
2010 is the year of the Independents. Screw the Democrats and Republicans, we can do without them.

You forgot one more line of liberal attack that I have already been hearing and that is racist attack. It has already been stated that Scott Brown was elected by a majority of Mass. "WHITE VOTERS"
If people think this is a victory, think again. Ever been in a firefight? no? then here is what happens the first shot was just fired, it struck home taking down one of the opposition, get ready for an all out attack. There will be no rules for the opposition but the rules will apply for us (sorta like the ROE in Afghanistan) They WILL hit us with EVERYTHING they have. Now is NOT the time to celebrate victory, now is the time to strengthen our positions and recruit more people to our side. The fighting will reach a crescendo before there is a victor, the fighting will be loud and oft time one sided and it will not end until one or the other is driven back.
So My words to all you people that LOVE AMERICA, dig in and get ready for a fight. When the smoke clears we indeed must be ready to build a NEW American government learning from PAST mistakes. Perhaps three party's Democrats, republicans, and NATIVE AMERICANS all with the same amount of representation in the house and senate with term limits and other improved rules to their serving as well as lobbying limits and other important items. The final thing would be to return to the constitution "IN TOTO" complete with the EXISTING amendments. Any further amendments would need a VOTE BY THE PEOPLE NATIONWIDE.
Now don't get comfortable and get out and talk it up and VOTE out the socialist thieves.

November. She is in trouble in her state. Can't

The race in NY
was for a Republican district. But the
Republican chiefs nominated someone no one
supported. Though she dropped out she was still
on the ballot. Her votes were the difference
between the Democrat candidate and the
conservative 'independent'. Rarely does a
non-incumbent 'independent' win and he didn't in
this case, though he came close.
This was an off year election, which meant very
few voted. After their victory the Dems breathed
a sigh of relief, instead of reading the writing
on the wall. They learned nothing going into the
NJ and Virginia race....and seemed to be trying
to ignore the Mass results, at their own peril.

I think it's a real twist
of irony that health care was passed for "poor
dead Teddy" but it was the person voted to take
his seat the subsequently killed the bill. I can
see the Democrats saying it was the Republicans
who killed healthcare when it comes time to
start campaigning, as if this were really a bad
thing. It's really quite funny to sit back and
watch Coakley and Obama point the finger at each
other in true Democratic fashion. I expect
Coakley to come out and say she inherited the
loss from Bush any day now. Here in Central WI
we're blessed (??!!??) with having Dave Obey
representing us. Hopefully this will be a wake
up call for him and others. The people have
spoken and its time to start listening. Not just
ram through legislation that's "better than
nothing"

[Obama has been] forced
to back off and regroup. The idiocy of shoving
heath care up the county's butt was clear to
everyone Tuesday, If he had he'd have suffered
unimaginable loses in November. Look for him to
scale things back... and continue or actually
intensify GOP Bashing between now and November.

[Ironically,
Coakley probably would have done better had Bush
43 campaigned for her. Then, if she lost,
she would have someone she could blame it on.

Absolute genius!!
Kind of reminds me of what the late Kurt
Vonnegut said about his book, 'The Breakfast of

book and saw no need to write anything else ever

to read your genius as long as you decide to
